The Sultanate of Oman encourages foreign investment that will enhance the overall development of the country. The ultimate goal from facilitate foreign investments is to benefit from the technology, services, and know-how they bring along with them from around the world that improves all sectors such as Industry, Tourism, and Business; also this helps in creating jobs and development for the locals, and open a window for Omani products to the world.



To facilitate this direction our rules are:

  • Promote investment opportunities in Oman to Foreign Direct Investor to attract them to come to Oman.

  • Participate in exhibitions and conferences around the world to promote Oman as an attractive investment destination.

  • Invite foreign investors to Oman to visit the market and arrange meetings with different stakeholders.

  • Provide all the data and information that the foreign investors need about the country, opportunities, and incentives that the government and local market provide to start their investments in Oman.

  • Facilitate all government procedures and requirements such as registration and obtaining of different approvals and permits to start working.

  • Provide foreign investors with all the services they may need under the one stop shop concept.; that consists of all the services they may require such financial consultancy, Bank, Real Estate, HR, Marketing, …etc

  • Maintain a good relationship with all the Funds available in Oman, Banks, and all potential local partners to support in funding and financing the foreign investments if needed.

  • Join the investors as partners in their investment through continuous administrative and consultancy support.

  • Provide and disseminate up-to-date information on incentives available to investors Free Zones and Ports incentives.

  • Provide information, credit checks, and du diligence of local companies and firms.

  • Invest directly to venture capitals and small & medium projects to support local SMEs.

ABIC enjoys excellent relationship with the international community, which is giving ABIC extraordinary strength and expertise to handle Foreign Investors, start strategic projects outside Oman, and help local exporters expand the export of Made in Oman Products worldwide:


  • By participating in international conferences and exhibitions, ABIC managed to build a very strong network of the international business community

  • The Investors who already started their projects in Oman, have become ABIC’s ambassadors in their countries and network.

  • Finally, in Funding projects outside Oman, helped ABIC in strengthening its international relations even more.
